The group is truly representative of the people and is the product of an unconditional approach to the diverse culture in Victoria.
The success of the Friday nights drum sessions are the dynamics and the diversity of the people.
Sharing plays a major part as each person brings with them a gift, many of these gifts have been given to them by the elders or ancestors.
Attached to these gifts are what makes us people, our personalities and the many circles encompassed within those personalities.
I would like to share with you some basic considerations and values that have guided me over the years.
Treat the earth and all that dwells on it with respect, do not take for granted the simplest of gifts and above all be thankful.
Recognize and acknowledge the spirit within the most important follow your heart.
Respect alone is nothing without commitment, sharing, caring, kindness, compassion, love, friendship, and humor, are all essential to commitment.
Do what you know to be right not what you think is right, follow your heart.
Seek balance in all aspects of your circle, mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual.
Be true to yourself, the rest will follow.
Create good actions and be responsible for them.
Most important” Speak once, listen twice”.
Pride is created by confidence and is what we feel when we see positive growth in young people, with each accomplishment they grow and that confidence becomes their self esteem.
Because we are a circle of people, there will be issues, hopefully those will be handled with all of the above in mind.
In Spirit and Friendship
